ABOUT THE MEDIA SERVICES GROUP

For over 20 years The Media Services Group has provided world-class software and services to the publishing industry. Founded in 1985 to service the magazine advertising markets, today MSGL has expanded into nearly all facets of the publishing business, including advertising management, circulation fulfillment, book publishing, exhibition and event management, directories and membership management.

We are a privately owned company with office locations throughout North America, in Europe and South America. An abbreviated company history follows:

	2007	The Media Services Group acquires the The Cat's Pajamas, provider of the well known book publishing software system by the same name. As part of the Cat's Pajamas acquisition, Media Services increases its West Coast presence with the addition of an office and employees north of Seattle, WA. Media Services opens office in Brazil in support of localized product launches into the Brazilian publishing marketplace. New Élan software platform released, supporting integrated browser-based software components. New Rights & Royalties application released, based on the Élan Framework
	2006	SQL Database released for CISPUB customers, providing a common database platform for CISPUB and MSGL customers. In cooperation with FMA International, Media Services develops and releases new software module for Membership management.
	2005	Media Services acquires S3 Publishing Technologies, owner and developer of the widely used CISPUB business system for book publishers. As part of the S3 acquisition, Media Services increases its book publishing staff and adds a new office in Phoenix, AZ. Integrated database platform support for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and IBM databases released. Hosting services soar, with new ASP contracts out numbering turnkey sales for the first time in company history.

	2003	Initial .NET framework supporting SQL data interfaces is released.

	2000	Media Services establishes ASP hosting service, partnering with major internet backbone provider Level-3 Communications to provide state-of-the-art security and infrastructure. In cooperation with two of its larger customers, The Media Services Group develops and releases software modules for Exhibition and Conference management.
	1999	All Media Services software is certified Y2K compliant.
	1998
	1997	Sales Prospector, one of the first industry-specific CRM applications, is released.
	1996	Media Services acquires Pegasus Software to achieve a more complete integration of the book publishing components.
	1995
	1994	Media Services Group partners with Pegasus Software to provide solutions for book publishers.
	1993	Media Services acquires LW Service, Inc., a respected circulation fulfillment bureau in Canada. Louis Wulf, founder of LW Services joins The Media Services Group and heads the development of the CircWorks product for subscription fulfillment. Media Services application interfaces re-written to leverage new GUI technologies.
	1992
	1991	Circworks product is developed and released to support in-house circulation fulfillment.
	1990
	1989	Media Services introduces first Client-Server application framework using System Builder
	1988	The Media Services Group, Ltd. is founded.
	1987	Adserve purchases KBM (Kobak Business Models), a reputed magazine consulting and software business from 3M.
	1986
	1985	Adserve Media Systems is formed to provide ad sales software to magazine publishers.
